1. What makes ips - Eastern Campus different from other schools?

School is an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, which focuses on developing the whole child at every level of development. By providing state-of-the-art learning facilities and fully espousing the CBSE’s Learner Profile and its core philosophy. ips enables students to pursue well-rounded academic excellence besides academics, good learning is also about enjoying the experience of life as a whole through the arts, athletics, outreach and much more.

2. Is there a deadline in applying for admissions?

No ips does not have any application deadlines for student admissions. We have a rolling admissions policy, and we will accept applications around the year as long as places are available. Admissions will also be made around the year, subject to vacancies and availability of space in the concerned classes.

3. Is there an admissions test or a screening process?

We meet with every family who applies to ensure that ips is a good fit for the child, the family, and the school.No. Admission test till class III Admission Test for classes IV to IX and XI.

4. What is the fee structure?

The fee structure is available to any parents who visit the school. We are proud of our school and we want parents to visit and get a feel for the place before they make decisions based on finances.

5. Is Lunch provided at school.?

Yes, vegetarian lunch is provided for all students. Students are allowed to bring food from home when they come to school if they have special dietary requirements. We want everyone to eat healthy. All teachers are made aware of the allergies or dietary restrictions of individual students

6. Can my child bring food from home, including non-vegetarian food?

Yes , only if the child has medical reasons he / she can bring lunch from home. Although it is advisable that the child should bring , vegetarian meal only. We recommend that parents pack healthy lunches. We ask parents to support the School's programme to promote healthy food and to educate children about the benefits of a healthy diet.

7. Is there a bus or transportation system?

Yes, ips owns its own buses and will pick up students in neighbourhoods where there is demand. The bus services are provided to parents at reasonable cost. We carefully screen drivers and equip buses with all the latest safety equipment, such as rear-view cameras, speed governors, cameras inside the buses, and lady attendants. We prefer that families use the school buses but the bus service is not compulsory.

8. What is your curriculum?

Ips is a fully authorized CBSE school offering complete curriculum from Nursery to class XII. Creativity is the basis of the curriculum and students learn art, music and Dance as well as rigorous academics

10. In case of transfer to any branch of ips school, will the admission fee be charged again?

In such cases, NO admission fee will be charged from students transferring to another campus. Admission will be guaranteed even when admissions are closed for non ips students.

11. What is the student-teacher ratio in the class?

Nursery Maximum of 15 students in the class
Foundation I & II Maximum of 20 students in the class
Classes 1 and X Maximum number of children per class is 30
Classes XI & XII Maximum number of children per class is 40

12. How many terms are there in one academic year?

There are two (2) terms in one academic year. In all assessment is done 04 times a year. Pre-Mid Term , Mid Term , Post Mid Term and Final Term

13. When does the academic year commence?

The academic year for all classes begins in the month of April.

14. Are students required to carry bags to school?

Students are required to carry books and any stationary, as required, according to the day’s timetable.

15. Are students given homework?

Homework is an integral part of teaching and serves to further reinforce what has been taught in class. Homework will be minimal and not stressful.

16. What co-curricular activities are organized ?

ips conducts a wide range of co-curricular activities. The list of activities organised at each campus can be viewed by visiting the ‘Extra Curricular activity’ link under ‘Beyond Academics’ .

17. Is there any additional charge for students to undertake extra or co0curricular activities?

There is no additional charge for participation in extra or co-curricular activities. It is all inclusive in the fees.

18. Does the school encourage inter-house and inter-school competitions?

ips organises a host of sports and extra-curricular events, adhering to the CBSE and Sahodaya norms which facilitates holistic development. Inter-house and inter-school level competitions are held throughout the academic year, to foster the spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship amongst students.

19. Are educational excursions a part the school’s academic calendar?

Yes, excursions and educational trips are a part of the active learning process at GIIS campuses. These will be organised on a regular basis as indicated on the school calendar.

20. Does the school have a canteen on campus?

NO, The school does not have a canteen.

21. What are the sports facilities provided by the school?

ips has a strong infrastructure in place to facilitate and support sports activities. The campus is equipped with world-class facilities for many sports including Swimming , Marshal Arts , Rifle Shooting , Football , Baslketball , Volley ball, Cricket and Table tennis.

22. In case of a medical emergency, how will the school take care of my child?

Basic medical care is present at all times during school hours in order to attend to minor injuries and medical emergencies. For major emergencies, the student will be taken to the nearby hospital and parents will be informed simultaneously.

23. Will the school cater to children with special needs?

The school does admit children who have borderline learning needs. An in-house behavioural counsellor is present, for addressing minor learning and behavioural needs.

24. Does the school have a child counsellor?

Yes, the school has a child counsellor who is professionally trained to understand, empathise and discuss any problem or situation with children. All discussions with the counsellors are strictly confidential.

25. What is the best way to pay tuition fees?

The most preferred way of paying tuition fee is cash. You can also pay through DD NEFT and Cheques.

26. Where can I purchase the school books?

Booklist is provided to all the students and books can be purchased from any Bookshop.

27. Where can I purchase the school uniforms ?

School uniforms can be purchased from any uniform supplier in the city.Details about uniform are provided to all the students.

28. Do teachers undergo any professional development workshop?

Teachers undergo training courses and workshops on a regular basis, in order to enhance their professional skills. Teacher training is given a high degree of importance at all ips campuses.

29. How often are Parent Teacher Meetings (PTMs) conducted?

PTMs are conducted once in every six (5) weeks.Fixed PTm schedule is mentioned in the Link book provided to the students.

30. Is there any other way to interact with teachers, other than a PTM?

ips considers parents as partners in the education process and parents are free to meet teachers, with prior appointment, as and when necessary. Communication app – classmonitor is the best way to interact with faculty members.
